ROTATING PACKED BED

The Rotating Packed bed (RPB) technology is a step forward from standard separation equipment, like columns or thin-film evaporators, which capabilities are limited by gravity. The combination of high centrifugal force and packings specifically designed for RPBs in cooperation with Technical University of Dortmund, leads to immense improvement in heat and mass transfer. An up to 20-fold equipment volume reduction is possible, especially for viscous systems. 

RPB has several advantages over conventional equipment in gas-liquid operations:
